it can be all the above
As promised, to you and me, I finished draft 1 of my fall syllabus this week.
I sat on the back porch with some sun tea and a legal pad and answered the questions from the last newsletter. I made lists and observations about fall, then took the info and plugged it into a Canva template. Normally, I would type it up, but the template prompted me to look at the document through another lens that I found helpful. I linked it below so you can see my approach this year. I will only print out the menu page and reference back to the Canva doc occasionally.
I hope you share your ideas (full or incomplete). I would love to see what you are interested in and how you will shape your fall.
Here is a charmingly worded film about a man who offloads his learning of a backflip to his avatar. If you have something especially hard or scary to work on this fall, consider creating an avatar of the mind who is doing the challenging work for you.

I love how yours turned out! I've been pondering topics for myself this fall and I have 2 that I decided on. One is plants. I've been slowly trying to grow indoor plants for the past 2 years and they're doing pretty well, but I want to learn more about each one and try to propagate more of them. I think I'm going to keep notes in a small notebook as I learn more.
The other topic is Scottish history. Ever since I got back from Scotland (and then started reading the Outlander series) I've been really interested in discovering more about Scottish history and its land. I'm going to spend some time this week and weekend coming up with the menu of ideas to play with this fall!
